NTT Solmare, a Japanese company renowned for its e-book services, has recently unveiled the annual rankings for its comprehensive e-book store, Comic C’moA. While the genres popular among male and female readers were drastically different, the only one widely read among both genders was isekai.
The most prominent genres for female-targeted manga categories include isekai, fantasy, and parenting/child-rearing. On the other hand, male-targeted manga categories consist of the isekai, battle/suspense, and drama genres (Source: Otaku Soken).
