Immersive 3D male idol training game V Project officially renamed to StarToU alongside gameplay reveal

Game developer Elementa announced that its upcoming immersive 3D idol training game V Project will launch as StarToU.

Game developer Elementa has officially announced that its upcoming idol training game will be rebranded to StarToU. The game was first announced back in January under the name “V Project.” Alongside the title announcement, the game’s mechanics and several characters were unveiled via a new trailer.

StarToU is described as an immersive, “empathy-driven” 3D idol game. Players will be able to get an intimate look at the world of idols trough “Echoes,” an interactive medium powered by Touch technology which allows you to acquire fragments of your idols’ memories and relive them. The Starlit Stage allows players to connect with their idols via rhythm-based gameplay and stage performances. Before every performance, the game lets you freely customize the character lineup, outfits and card sets to your liking. Additionally, the developers promise a “richer idol development journey” through features like the Star Journey and interactions via TOKI, a simulated social media experience.

As part of the StarToU universe, MacGuffin, a new self-produced idol group was also unveiled. Featuring members Tay, Yoora, Lim and Noki, the group boasts a distinct hip-hop identity centered around the spirit of “breaking the rules while keeping the fun alive.” The trailer also hints at a good dose of angst story wise, with the boys having a full-on argument and threatening to disband “again.”

StarToU is currently in development. A closed beta test is scheduled to start in some regions during the second half of 2026.
