During TBS Radio’s season 3 premiere of KOJI10 on October 5, Hideo Kojima discussed the upcoming horror title OD and why the game is still shrouded in mystery since it was officially revealed at the 2023 Game Awards. According to the director, the lack of new teasers is intentional, as he wants to release the game while keeping everything about it a mystery.
Apart from some cast and writer announcements, screenshots, and two teaser trailers, not much is known about OD. Kojima comments that while his past games feature several teasers, he would rather not do the same thing for this title in particular.
“It’s not that it isn’t finished,” he said, and described OD as “a game that pushes players to the brink of fear.”
Kojima also gave an update on OD’s development, saying that filming, which was postponed on account of the American actor union SAG-AFTRA strike, had finally restarted this July. In addition to Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR), which involves rerecording voice lines to replace those recorded on set, the entire process is expected to take place until next year.
OD is currently in development.
