FuRyu’s retro liminal space shooter ANOMALITH surpasses 120,000 Steam Wishlists ahead of release
Japanese developer FuRyu celebrates 120,000 Steam Wishlists for its upcoming third-person shooting game ANOMALTIH.

Japanese game studio FuRyu announced that its upcoming liminal-space anime shooter, ANOMALITH, has surpassed 120,000 Steam Wishlists with less than two weeks remaining until its October 29 launch. To celebrate the milestone, the developers published a video featuring the characters Reona and Arisa thanking fans for their continued support.
The company also announced a collaboration with Polish developer Ninth Exodus’ cyborg mercenary FPS Peripeteia at launch. More details on the collab will be revealed at a later date.
ANOMALITH, alongside FuRyu’s fantasy roguelite action game CRYMELIGHT, will participate in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which will serve as the games’ final pre-launch event. A separate promotional event will be held on FURYU GAMES’ official Discord channel, where participants can win Steam codes for both games. Entry only requires joining the official Discord and reacting to a designated post, with Steam game codes for ANOMALITH and CRYMELIGHT being distributed across 15 winners.

ANOMALITH is a survival horror shooter set in an alternate version of Japan where the Showa spiraled into something completely different. As Reona Minazuki, a “Diver” of the government-backed agency known as the “Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office,” you explore naturally emerging “Anomaly Zones” in search of your missing friend. The game is developed with contributions from scenario writer Romeo Tanaka (Stella of the End, Humanity Has Declined), character designer MON (Nisio Isin’s Legends Series), and composer Yuka Kitamura (Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III and Witch Hat Atelier).
ANOMALITH is set to launch on October 29 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free demo is available on all platforms. Unfortunately, progress made in the demo does not carry over to the full game. However, you can create an outfit set that can be transferred to the final release.
