Fish Them All!, a Japanese fishing action game about catching 100 million fish, gets Steam demo

Fish Them All is a chaotic incremental fishing game by Japanese indie developer Piisu.

Indie developer Piisu has released a Steam demo for Fish Them All!, an incremental fishing action game in which you catch over 100 million fish. The demo will be available for the duration of the October Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 19 to 26.

Gameplay revolves around a cycle of catching fish to earn money. Money can be used to learn skills, which allow you to catch even more fish. These include upgrades to your fishing boat, such as your fishing pole’s hook size and boat movement speed, as well as unique abilities like being able to recruit drones and UFOs that automatically catch fish for you. As you progress, your hauls will grow from 10 to 100 or even 1,000 fish at a time.

In addition to fish, teleporting sea urchins, speedy squid, and giant sharks inhabit the sea and are just some of the fauna you’ll be catching. The seabed is also filled with treasures to collect, which earn you just as much (if not more) money as fishing. Fishing sessions last only 1 minute, making it easy to hop in for a quick round. You’ll be able to reel in the final fish in about 4-5 hours.

The demo features roughly the first 30 to 40 minutes of the full game and lets you get a feel for the gameplay loop. Several skills are also available, including a Diver skill that summons a diver to catch fish for you and an Explosion skill that blasts schools of fish.

If you happen to play the demo, you can share your thoughts on the dedicated discussion board in the Fish Them All! Steam Community. Player feedback will be used to inform adjustments and improvements to the game before its release.

Fish Them All is currently in development for Windows, macOS, SteamOS, and Linux (Steam). A free demo is available until October 26.
