Final Fantasy 7 Revelation officially launches April 8, 2027, concluding the remake trilogy

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch on April 8, 2027. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store on Windows.

This is the third and final installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, bringing the series to its conclusion. According to the developers, it will will deliver an epic adventure on the largest scale yet seen in the series.

In this installment, the Highwind allows players to freely travel around the open world, parachuting down from the air to any location of their choosing. From there, they can explore a vast, seamlessly connected world. The outskirts of Midgar, the lush island of Mideel, the land of the ninja Wutai are all explorable areas, with players free to decide where they go and what they do.

The series’ battle system, which combines real-time action with command selection, has also been evolved in the third entry. Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind join the roster as new playable characters, while a new job system called Wear, along with new abilities, adds depth to possible playstyles.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store/Microsoft Store on Windows) on April 8, 2027.
