Days With My Stepsister gets productivity companion game with original story penned by series creator Ghost Mikawa

Days with My Lo-Fi Sister is scheduled to release for PC (Steam).

Japanese creative company Talepot has announced Days with My Lo-Fi Sister, a productivity adventure game based on the Days with My Stepsister anime and light novel series. Developed and published by Minstrel (a creative brand under Talepot), the game’s scenario and production direction are being handled by series creator Ghost Mikawa.

Titular stepsister Saki Ayase (voiced by her anime Japanese VA, Yuki Nakashima) serves as your work companion in this game. You can use the Pomodoro timer to set your work and break periods, as well as the in-game to-do list and notepad to keep track of your tasks and ideas.

Saki follows your lead, completing her own tasks while you work, and chatting with you during your breaks. For those longer pauses, Days with My Lo-Fi Sister includes a bedside relaxation mode that lets you “enjoy a quiet moment with Saki in her pajamas,” letting you get closer to her than you normally would during your work sessions. As you spend more time with her, you’ll unlock original episodes written by Ghost Mikawa that delve deeper into her character.

Days with my Lo-Fi Sister lets you manually change the scenery and soundtrack that plays in Saki’s room. While the game features ambient sounds, its song library includes a wealth of tunes that fans can appreciate. These include lo-fi tracks from the official Days with My Stepsister YouTube channel, songs from the anime, as well as original lo-fi tracks made specifically for the game. You can also import your own music and create your own playlists.

A Campfire crowdfunding campaign for the game is set to take place from October 27 to December 10 with the aim of producing DLC featuring Shiori Yomiuri (the part-time senior at the bookstore where protagonist Yuuta Asamura works).

Days with my Lo-Fi Sister is set to release this winter for Windows and macOS (Steam).
