Dark psychological otome game Cyber Paranoia has you undergoing experimental therapy sessions with a beautiful android

Cyber Paranoia is an indie dark otome game coming to PC (Steam), with a free demo out.

Fans of otome games might want to keep an eye on Cyber Paranoia, a psychological medical romance adventure title set in a psychiatric treatment facility. As a patient diagnosed with a unique mental contagion, you take part in over 40 “treatment sessions” alongside a beautiful, pink-haired android.

The sessions have you doing different tasks, ranging from patting the android’s head to “punishing” him by repeatedly striking his neck. Depending on the actions you perform, certain values will change. While your character only has their Mental Energy and Stamina to contend with, the android has values like Mental Energy, Stamina, Treatment Efficiency, Joy Level, Suffering Level, and Treatment Score that require careful monitoring.

Aside from participating in sessions, you also manage your daily routine. This includes submitting progress reports to your handlers, taking breaks, participating in romantic encounters with your android, and upgrading him.

How you upgrade the android depends on your personal preferences. Improving his Humanity and Infatuation can make him more attracted to you, while an increase in his Obedience will make him less likely to disobey your orders.

Your decisions and upgrade choices don’t just determine which of the 30+ endings you will get. They also shape the android’s personality and the direction of the story, the latter of which can be as wholesome or as dark as you want it to be (the developer warns that some routes feature graphic content, including violence, psychological abuse, medical procedures, and adult themes).

Cyber Paranoia takes roughly over 10 hours to fully complete and is targeted towards fans of psychological science fiction thrillers, android romance, and yandere characters. The game features over 300,000 words of story content supported by a unique, CG hand-drawn art style (you can even choose the android’s clothes from one of six outfits).

Developed and published by a solo indie developer, Cyber Paranoia is currently in development for Windows (Steam). A free demo is also available.
