It’s been five whole years since CyberConnect2 released their furry TRPG Fuga: Melodies of Steel back on July 29, 2021. To celebrate the milestone, the company launched a mobile version of the game for iOS and Android. Furthermore, mobile versions of the sequels Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 and 3 have also been confirmed for future release.
The mobile version of Fuga will feature the same story and gameplay as the PC/console version, but with smartphone-optimized controls. Additionally, players who buy the game will get all of the in-game bonuses from the Deluxe Edition of Fuga completely for free.
In celebration of Fuga’s 5-year anniversary, CyberConnect also prepared three special videos on YouTube which adapt the original novels included with the Fuga: Melodies of Steel Trilogy Box. Titled “Let’s Be Friends,” “The Entrusted Maidens,” and “The Scarlet Order” respectively, the new videos also include exclusive assets specifically made for the story adaptations.
Set in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic cats (Felineko) and dogs (Caninu), the Fuga: Melodies of Steel trilogy tells the story of a group of children who, having lost their homes and families to war, are forced to venture onto the battlefield themselves in hopes of finding their missing parents. However, despite its cute cast of characters and picture-book-esque art style, the game is rather brutal with its execution, shaping up into a dark drama about survival and sacrifice.
