Productivity games are becoming more and more popular, what with titles like Chill Pulse and Chill With You: Lo-Fi Story providing you with relaxing music, in-game trackers, and even interactive companions to accompany you during long work or study sessions. Unlike the aforementioned titles, which are set in modern times, the cozy Japanese title Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story is more story-focused and follows your journey alongside a witch in a fantastical world.
Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story is set in Elmana Village, a small settlement not too far from the Imperial Capital. With the world beset by a dark presence, you soon encounter Memorie, an apprentice witch. While you focus on completing your tasks, Memorie concentrates on learning magic (presumably in the hopes of saving everyone).

The game tracks your work sessions using a Pomodoro-based timer. Each completed session unlocks a new piece of the story, adding more dialogue with Memorie and changing the room she works in. Small changes like a favorite cup and faint green glows of magic will start to appear the more time you spend together. These pave the way for more impactful revelations, such as a big secret that Memorie appears to be keeping from you.

Featuring Celtic-inspired music mixed with ambient sounds, unlockable magic, and a young witch determined to further her knowledge of the mystic arts, Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story is really leaning into its fantasy roots.
Developed by BeXide, the game is in development for Windows and macOS (Steam), as well as Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. A limited-time free demo is currently available on Steam (progress from the demo carries over to the full release).
