B-horror yuri mystery game follows two girls tracking down a killer after their confession scene is interrupted by a murder

Blood Lily: Killers Can't Sink a Yuri Ship is set to release on September 15 on Steam.

Confessing your love to someone you like is hard enough on its own, but it gets considerably more difficult when the two of you find yourselves embroiled in a murder mystery. That is the premise behind Blood Lily: Killers Can’t Sink a Yuri Ship, an upcoming B-horror mystery comedy adventure title by Taiwanese indie game dev Sounding Stone.

Blood Lily follows Lily, a long-haired college girl whose plan is to romance her crush Sally during their vacation to a ryokan (a traditional Japanese inn). Things go sideways when a murder takes place, forcing Lily to declare war on the perpetrator as she says, “How dare you come between Sally and me!”

Except for Lily and Sally, everyone in the ryokan is initially presented as a silhouette. Their silhouettes and titles get filled in as you unravel the mystery by searching for clues and talking to people in a top-down 2.5D space. As the story progresses, Lily and Sally grow increasingly suspicious that there might be more than one killer. The game features 10 possible endings, with each one changing the fates of the characters based on your choices.

Blood Lily is set to be divided into two chapters, with the first chapter being partly adapted from tabletop RPG (TRPG) sessions that Sounding Stone had with their friends. A second chapter is currently in development, with an official opening movie having recently been unveiled.

Blood Lily: Killers Can’t Sink a Yuri Ship is set to release on September 15 for Windows (Steam). A free demo is also available.
