Persona developer Atlus has published its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. The company saw significant growth across all profit metrics, with operating profit up 92.5% year-on-year and net profit up 74.2% (as reported by GameBiz).
While Atlus didn’t have any major new releases in its console game business during this fiscal period, the company says the simultaneous multiplatform release of Raidou Remastered contributed to the player base expanding both domestically and overseas. Additionally, the release of Persona 3 Reload’s Nintendo Switch 2 edition and the launch of the live-service PC/mobile game Persona 5: The Phantom X boosted the Persona franchise’s reach. As a result, the series has achieved a cumulative 30 million units sold. The company also mentions Metaphor: ReFantazio winning “Game of the Year” at the 2025 Japan Game Awards as a factor that strengthened its brand value.
Going forward, Atlus acknowledges that rising inflation and game development costs present challenges that are causing the entertainment industry to plateau and need to be adapted to “urgently.” At the same time, the company says that “the diversification of distribution models has allowed us to establish an environment where we can provide content and services globally over the long term, regardless of device or platform; as a result, our expectations for the growth of our game business remain high.”

Atlus has major releases like Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 lined up. The Persona 4 remake is set to launch on February 18, 2027, while Persona 6’s release window is still TBD.
