China-based indie studio Tin Bird just released a free demo for its upcoming cyberpunk adventure title All Our Broken Parts. The demo includes the first chapter of the game and can be completed in roughly 1.5 hours (there is currently no word on whether progress in the demo carries over to the full game).

Set in a cold, bleak world where humans have mysteriously vanished (the ideal setting for a cyberpunk game), All Our Broken Parts puts you in the shoes of the robot doctor Ruth. After a medical accident forces her to relocate to a small clinic on the outskirts of town, Ruth finds herself treating sick robots who are plagued with different problems. These include an art unit with visual sensor troubles, a bartender robot that is suddenly unable to taste anything, a delivery unit running on an outdated engine, and a sales robot that is trapped in a loop of endless jokes.
Armed with your stethowire and screwdrivers, you diagnose, pick apart, and repair each robot by completing a series of minigames. As you treat them and make important dialogue choices, you “shape the fates” of your patients, as well as your own.

All Our Broken Parts is a narrative-driven game, with the stories of each robot and Ruth being fleshed out as you progress. Secrets about the world are also unveiled, such as the origins of the robots and the whereabouts of humanity. The full game features five robot patients in total and will take roughly 6-8 hours to complete.

All Our Broken Parts is in development for Windows (Steam). A free demo containing the first chapter is available now. The devs warn that the demo’s localization could be a little rough around the edges and welcome any feedback.
