It’s only been a few days since Gremory Games dropped the latest teaser for Taimanin Squad, a brand-new entry in the Taimanin franchise. However it seems like they were eager to keep the hype going with more new information. As a timely Christmas present for their fans, the studio recently announced that the title is a free-to-play, turn-based RPG and will be coming in early 2026 to Android and iOS devices, as well as PC, and shared some more details about the gameplay.
The game takes place in Tokyo Kingdom City, an abandoned artificial island floating 10km above Tokyo Bay. Built to be a “second metropolis” funded by the Japanese government, the project was eventually abandoned. With the city now overrun by demons, criminals, and unlawful corporations, the Taimanins (human ninjas who use Taima Particles to unleash special abilities) and United Federation of American-Pacific States (UFS) have sent a handful of agents to infiltrate Tokyo Kingdom City, rescue any remaining civilians, and bring order back to the lawless island.

Players form squads of up to four members and take on hordes of enemies. Characters from previous games, such as the Taimanins Onisaki Kirara and Mizuki Shiranui, as well as UFS scientist Emily Simmons, also make an appearance. According to 4Gamer, there will be around 100 characters to choose from at launch, each of which has their own upgradeable abilities.

Taimanin Squad also lets your characters interact in a couple of ways. Relationship scenarios allow for bonding time and unlock personal cutscenes. Using the information gathered from the relationship scenarios, you can deduce which characters share a history and group them in a squad. These characters can then use special team-based skills, which give them the edge in combat.

Given the alluring nature of these characters, it’s no surprise that Taimanin Squad will feature in-game purchases. You’ll be able view each character’s information and 3D models via the in-game encyclopedia.
Pre-registration is currently ongoing, with several in-game rewards being unlocked upon reaching certain playercount milestones.
Taimanin Squad is set to release in early 2026 for Android and iOS devices, as well as PC. An official webpage has also been set up.
