While the Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve walkthrough trailer wowed fans with its gameplay and landscapes, arguably none stole the show more than Tasha Seversky, the blonde- and pink-haired, bubbly member of Joker Flight who serves as one of your wingmen in the game. More information was recently revealed about Tasha’s backstory, as well as the voice actors who will be playing her.
Though she currently serves as the second lieutenant of Joker Flight, an elite Navy air unit aligned with the Federation of Central Usea (FCU), Tasha was originally the star pilot of an aerial acrobatic team known as Zvezda from the fictional country of Yuktobania. During a shoot for a promotional video aboard the Endurance aircraft carrier, war suddenly broke out between the Republic of Sotoa and the FCU, forcing her to stay on the ship. Tasha’s experience with fighter jets, coupled with the desperate situation of the Endurance crew, led to her joining Joker Flight and taking on the mantle of Joker 3.
Tasha’s Japanese voice actress is none other than Chika Anzai, known for roles such as Chisa Kotegawa (Grand Blue), Chisato Nishikigi (Lycoris Recoil), and Chise Asukagawa (Gridman Universe). Her English voice actress, on the other hand, is Emi Lo, who many will recognize as the English voice of Lucy Kushinada (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners), Maomao (The Apothecary Diaries), and, more recently, Teoritta (Sentenced to Be a Hero).

Fans will have to wait until at least September to get hands-on experience with Ace Combat 8, but producer Kazutoki Kono has conveniently quoted Bandai Namco’s Tasha X post, mentioning that the game’s first-person cinematic mode will allow you to control your field of view as well as zoom in and out. While he doesn’t mention anything specific, it can be inferred that he’s encouraging players to get a better look at Tasha.
Ace Combat 8: Winds of Theve is set to release on October 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows (Steam). Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition can play the game up to three days early.
