Steward Constructs in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are simply adorable

Steward Constructs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom seem to be getting a lot of attention for being just plain cute. They’re gaining new fans one after the other, including myself.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an action-adventure game currently available for Nintendo Switch. It is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the new game, the land of Hyrule is suddenly struck by unusual natural disasters – castles rise into the air and mysterious ruins rain down from the sky. In a world with an expanded earth and sky, Link, possessing new powers in his right hand, confronts the catastrophes in Hyrule.

In this game, the player starts exploring a large island called the Great Sky Island immediately as the game begins. The island is inhabited by a variety of Constructs. While some are hostile, others are friendly to the player. Among them, the most memorable seem to be the Stewards Constructs.

The Steward Construct is likely the first NPC the player encounters on the island, and its rather rugged appearance will give you the impression that it is rather gruff. However, on the inside, it is very sweet. With a soft tone of voice, it politely guides you to explore the island.

But that’s not all. This Steward Construct has cute reactions. It’s best to find out what they’re like for yourself, but there is a variety of reactions available. You can see what happens when you try to take your clothes off. The reactions of the Steward Construct are also quite innocent. Upon closer inspection, the Steward Constructs are actually quite sexy to look at and have adorable personalities. Their actions on the field are cute, and their animations are also cute. I (the original author of this article) even think that may be the most “moe” golem-characters in video game history.

The Steward Construct is not the only friendly Construct. The islands are inhabited by a variety of them. They all have their own roles and personalities, and they are all lovable. And, when you learn the reasons why they live where they live, you become all the more attached to them. I wonder if there have ever been golem characters that one can get so attached to. Some may disagree, but it is no exaggeration to say that the Constructs have been given the most impressive role in the history of golem characters.

In an official interview for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, director Takuhiro Dohta commented, “What’s unique this time is joining hands and cooperating with various characters.” The existence of the Steward Construct may be one example of this unique characteristic.

Fans of Steward Constructs are springing up one after another on social media. Those who search for 執事ゴーレム (Steward Construct) will stumble upon a multitude of fanart. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
