New Monster Hunter mobile game being jointly developed with Tencent subsidiary

TiMi Studio Group and Capcom have announced that they are jointly developing a new mobile game in the Monster Hunter series. Like the majority of Monster Hunter games, it will be a hunting action game where you take on powerful monsters, and similar to other titles on mobile, it seems like there will be an emphasis on making it easy to pick up and play.

This is far from the first time that the Monster Hunter series has come to mobile, as there were games released on Japanese feature phones as well as a number of spinoffs for iOS and Android. Even one of the mainline titles, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, was released on iOS in 2014. That said, none of these games found much success in the mobile market. In fact, Capcom as a whole has struggled in their attempts at creating a successful mobile game, and this is where TiMi Studio Group comes in.

The studio, which was first established in 2008 and is a subsidiary of Tencent Games, will be working on the new game alongside Capcom. They have previously developed a number of successful titles for mobile and the Nintendo Switch, including Honor of Kings, Speed Drifters, and Arena of Valor. In addition, they also developed the highly popular games Pokémon Unite and Call of Duty: Mobile. Capcom will surely benefit from their mobile development expertise.

Fans can look forward to finding out more about the game in the future.
