Square Enix has announced that their upcoming action RPG Babylon’s Fall will hold a limited-time NieR: Automata collaboration event after launch. Cosmetic items that allow players to dress up as 2B, 9S, A2, Commander White, and Operator will be available, as well as a NieR: Automata-themed home base, quests, and enemies.
NieR: Automata came out in 2017 as a sequel to the action RPG Nier, produced by Square Enix and developed by PlatinumGames. February 23 marks the 5th anniversary of the game’s launch, and an anime adaptation was officially announced earlier today.

The company has also released a season one trailer for the game. Babylon’s Fall is a live service game with major updates scheduled in three-month seasonal cycles. The first season is set to start on February 25, alongside the release of a free trial version on PlayStation platforms. It’ll contain boss fight only quests called Duels and special quests with score leaderboards called Gauntlets. A new species that dwell in lava caves and a new type of weapon (Great Axe) will be added to the game as well.
Square Enix previously announced that the premium battle pass, which allows players to unlock rewards through gameplay and is normally priced around $10, will be available for free in the first season.
Babylon’s Fall is a multiplayer online action RPG being co-developed by Square Enix and PlatinumGames, with gameplay rooted in PlatinumGames’ hack and slash style. Players take the role of a Sentinel equipped with a device called the “Gideon Coffin,” and set off to claim the treasures that await in the Tower of Babel.
The game is set to release on March 3 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, with the early access period starting on February 28 for those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition.
