Monster Hunter Rise will add Rush from Mega Man 11 on Sept. 24

On September 17, Capcom announced that a costume of Rush from Mega Man 11 will be added to Monster Hunter Rise as part of the game’s new collaboration event. A new Event Quest will arrive on September 24, and by completing the quest, players can unlock “Rush Costume” Palamute layered armor. As you can tell from the name, this layered armor will change your Palamute’s appearance and bark to those of Rush.

According to the official website, drift movement will change to “Rush Jet”, and jumping dismount will change to “Rush Coil” while the Rush Costume is equipped. These are recreation of Rush’s moves in Mega Man 11, as you can see in the comparison video below.

This isn’t the first time Monster Hunter and Mega Man series collaborated. Back in 2017, Monster Hunter: World did a collaboration event where you could change Palico’s appearance to that of Mega Man from the 8-bit era. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate also did a Mega Man collaboration. Monster Hunter franchise is famous for these crossover events with other IPs. It has become almost like a tradition.

The newly announced Mega Man 11 collaboration is the 4th “Capcom Collab” the company is doing for Monster Hunter Rise. So far, the game has collaborated with Monster Hunter Stories 2 (“Felyne Tsukino” Palico layered armor), Okami (“Ammy Costume” Palamute layered armor), and Street Fighter (“Akuma” Hunter layered armor).

Another Capcom Collab is scheduled to come out this fall.
