Greetings, fellow adventurers! This is the Elin State of the Game editorial team.
Following our inaugural issue, we are happy to say that the January issue was read by many of you as well.
This month, we’d like to share new information about Elin sent in from all over Ylva.
This is the February issue of “Elin State of the Game,” out on Nyan Nyan Day (the 22nd), as always. This month, we’re packing in the extra nyan nyan nyans!

This Nyanth’s Update
Check it all out!
With the arrival of the new year last month, it seems like New Year’s themed items are starting to appear all over North Tyris.
“Fake Objects” have also been discovered, which will be revolutionary for adventurers who want to build their bases with particular care. If you go through the Moon Gate, you might be surprised by sights more elaborate than ever before!
(For details on all updates, see Ylvapedia)
New Year’s Symbols
In the villages of Mifu and Nefu, the custom of New Year’s decorations was passed down.
One example is this gate pine. It is made from bamboo and pine, and its purpose is to welcome into the home the gods believed to dwell within the trees. Following this ancient custom, you might place one at the entrance to your base.

A New Threat Lurking in Nefia
Recently, rumors of a new monster have been spreading among adventurers. Many stories involve people being suddenly attacked by a treasure chest. Adventurers who let their guard down have been left with painful bite marks on their arms. Be vigilant when exploring!

A New Companion for Base Building: Fake Objects
Good news for discerning base-building enthusiasts! These Fake Objects allow you to replicate the appearance of even non-portable objects. Create lush forests and vast wheat fields to your heart’s content.

Pull and Knock Back with Ease
The Mages Guild has received information about a new spell: “Telekinesis.” It can pull faraway objects closer and knock close objects away. Experienced adventurers may find unexpected uses for this spell.

The derivative works form accepts works created by adventurers themselves. Not all submitted works will be published, but if you’d like your work to be featured in the “Elin State of the Game” community news, we encourage you to apply. Until now, we’ve mainly featured illustrations, but we are now accepting works in a variety of formats, including music and video.
As in the past, we may contact you individually to ask for permission to publish works that have not been submitted through the submission form. We would greatly appreciate your kind cooperation if we contact you.

Notice
Do you like “Imouto”?
The second installment of the Elin short video for Western audiences, introduced in the inaugural issue, is here. The big sisters are in high spirits again this time. The narrators are the little sisters (“imouto”) familiar to adventurers.
Official Illustration Introduction ~ Lumiest Gallery
We’re introducing a new illustration by Elin illustrator NZ. This time it’s a Valentine’s Day illustration.
Ornev, who has lived through the ages, has an extraordinarily large love even for humans.

Official Music Introduction ~ Palmia Records
Next up is a new song by Elin composer NINO. It’s a hymn to Opatos of Earth, Ylva’s most ancient god.
It’s said that Opatos, born deep beneath the earth, heard a lullaby while he slumbered. It was a procession of animals coming to comfort the spirits of their companions residing in the mountains. As it was passed down through the generations of bards, it eventually evolved into a song praising Opatos.
With this release, nine deities in the Hymns of the Gods series have now been unveiled. As for gods who can be chosen as objects of worship, only one remains: Itzpalt of Element.

Community News
We’d like to highlight a small selection of the activities and works by adventurers who are making the Elin community even more exciting. If any creator names are incorrect, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

Architecture of the Month
Housing is life. In fact, it’s deeper than life itself. For the final installment of this issue as well, we’ll be showcasing player bases that combine beauty and madness, a true testament to obsession.

Developer News
Hello everyone, this is noa.
Last month, I was tinkering with a tool called AntiGravity. It’s a tool that lets an AI agent create games and apps on the fly. It can create code that would normally take months, like a Minecraft-style game or mahjong, in just a few hours. It was quite impressive.
For Elin, I’ve written roughly 250,000 lines and nearly 10 million characters of code. I’ve felt a sense of accomplishment just seeing the code grow, but now, if I just wanted to fill in the gaps, the AI could probably write it in a day (although, of course, I doubt it would build (laughs)). I think that in a few years, if you asked an AI to “make a game like Elin,” they’d be able to create something that was reasonably playable.
So, while I was busy making my agent work like a mule, I was thinking about the future of Elin and AI.
Personally, I enjoy playing with AI, and I’m excited about its new possibilities. However, I think that’s separate from the direction of my work.
Originally, the artist NZ had decided not to use AI-generated content in Elin. I want to cherish the handmade feel of the work and fan-created works, so I am not currently thinking about using AI code in Elin.
