Japan reveals the top 10 anime adaptions of manga that people want to see in 2025 

The 2025 results for the annual Japanese poll of manga people most want to see made into anime are in- with Nue’s Exorcist taking the top spot.

Ahead of the upcoming convention in Tokyo on March 22 to 23, Anime Japan 2025 announced this year’s results for their annual poll of “Manga we want to see adapted into an anime.” According to the official X post, the poll gathered 156,909 votes this year and 47 nominations, with Nue’s Exorcist taking the top spot. 

Nue’s Exorcist is a supernatural manga by Kota Kawae that has been serialized in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump since May 2023. Serious exorcist Gakuro Yajima meets Nue, an eccentric, pop culture-loving spirit girl who helps him come to terms with his unwanted gift of being able to see ghosts. Viz Media is scheduled to publish an English version of Nue’s Exorcist in summer this year

The manga ranking in the top 5 places of the “Manga we want to see adapted into an anime” poll had awards presented to them by members of the idol group Sakurazaka46. The official X account for Nue’s Exorcist posted a photo of the award accompanied by a thank-you message.

In the past, manga that were later made into successful anime have taken the top spots on this list, including Spy x Family, Oshi no Ko and The Apothecary Diaries, suggesting that there is a decent chance that some of the series below could be hitting screens in the near future.
