Silent Hill 2 remake: How to get the All Seems In Order achievement

Silent Hill 2 is known for being loosely connected to other entries in the franchise. While other Silent Hill games focus on things like religious cults and sacrifices, Silent Hill 2 is content with exploring the inner demons of its characters. Nevertheless, the Silent Hill 2 remake makes a nice nod to the other games by way of the “All Seems in Order” achievement.

How do you get the achievement?

“All Seems in Order” can only be acquired during your second visit to the west side of South Vale (during nighttime). After acquiring the Historical Society Key and exiting Rosewater Park, you will find yourself in front of the same motel that you and Maria passed through on your way to Brookhaven Hospital.

Head towards the back of the motel complex to room 106, which is home to a TV displaying static, a hat that looks similar to the one worn by Silent Hill 3 detective Douglas Cartland, and a symbol hidden behind some wallpaper. Inspecting the symbol will reward you with the achievement and insight to the Silent Hill franchise’s overarching antagonist group.

What is the Order?

Silent Hill Order symbol

The symbol in room 106 is called the Halo of the Sun, which represents a cult known as the Order. The cult worships the Otherworld beings of Silent Hill, which they see as incarnations of their god. Members of the Order see the state of humanity as corrupt and will do all they can to bring about the return of their god. Doing so will supposedly usher in an apocalypse that will cleanse the world. To this end, they offer human sacrifices, forcibly impose their beliefs on non-believers, and torture those who interfere with their activities.

The Order isn’t the nicest club to be a part of, and it’s a good thing James Sunderland doesn’t have to deal with it during his trip to Silent Hill. Other Silent Hill protagonists like Harry and Heather Mason aren’t so lucky and have to contend with more than just a creepy symbol in a motel room.
