China-based developer Egg Hatcher unveiled Moon Princess on June 23. The upcoming Wuxia-themed game is set to launch for PC (Steam).
Moon Princess is a “daughter-raising sim meets martial arts” game set in the Chinese mythology-inspired land of Mingyue. You play as a great hero, tasked with raising your daughter into adulthood. Through training, combat, exploration and management, you shape the heroine’s life and destiny, which can range from her becoming a legendary hero to defecting to the enemy’s side, or even ascending to the throne. Your choices in-game can lead to over 50 possible career endings and over 20 relationship outcomes.

According to the developers, Moon Princess will include two to three times more text than its predecessor, with richer events and stories. The game features a cast of over 60 characters, 12 of which are the “Zodiac Descendants,” whom you can choose as potential suitors for your daughter. Certain outcomes and features will be unlockable, adding replay value.

Like the acclaimed Volcano Princess, Moon Princess is being developed by Egg Hatcher’s two-producer team. The game has been in the works for over a year and a half, and set on depicting an authentic Wuxia world, the developers have put a lot of research into Chinese mythology and history.
Moon Princess is currently in development for PC (Steam).
