Utawarerumono’s soon-to-end mobile game spin-off will be preserved through an offline version

The new offline version of Utawarerumono: Lost Frag will possibly include full voice acting alongside new scenarios.

Aquaplus has announced Utawarerumono: Lost Frag Story Archives, an offline version of the original mobile game.

Launching exclusively in Japan back in November 2019, Utawarerumono: Lost Frag is a free-to-play visual novel/RPG penned by Naoya Shimokawa and Munemitsu Suga, the creators of the mainline Utawarerumono series. The mobile game spin-off follows a new story independent from the original trilogy while featuring returning characters. In February, it was announced that after six years of updates, Lost Frag would be permanently shutting down as of April 23, 2026.

As the end-of-service date draws near, Aquaplus has announced that Lost Frag will be immortalized through the upcoming Utawarerumono: Lost Frag Story Archives. This comes in response to numerous inquiries from fans, according to the developer. The new offline version will allow players to revisit the original story, and Aquaplus is even considering adding full voice acting for the main story and event scenarios, as well as the addition of new stories.

The release platforms and other details are TBA via Aquaplus’s official website and other channels.
