Undertale sets new concurrent player record almost 10 years after its initial release

Spurred by its super affordable Steam Spring Sale pricing, Undertale has updated its concurrent player record from 2015.

Following Undertale’s massive discount during the Steam Spring Sale, Toby Fox happily revealed that the game reached a new concurrent player peak since it first launched in 2015. That’s a lot of people playing an almost 10-year-old, single-player game.

When Fox checked SteamDB’s statistics, Undertale had amassed a 10,739-player all-time peak – beating the previous record of 10,459 concurrent players from December 29, 2015. That number has since grown to 11,071 players, and is likely to keep growing while the game is on sale.

As Fox mentions in his X post, Undertale will still be on Steam’s Deep Discounts for a few more days. Those waiting for Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 or those who haven’t played Undertale can indulge themselves by playing Fox’s first game on Steam.

Undertale is available on macOS, Windows, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Vita, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
