Umamusume: Pretty Derby player repurposes refrigerator to train horse girls

A Umamusume: Pretty Derby player got the game running on their high-spec household refrigerator to train Mihono Bourbon.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby’s global launch has allowed the franchise to take the world by storm, to the point that one fan went so far as to co-own a real racehorse. While not everyone has that kind of money, some can take solace in the fact that their brand-new Samsung 25cubicfoot Mega Capacity Counter Depth 3-Door French Door Refrigerator with Family Hub in Stainless Steel can run their favorite horse girl gacha game.

TikTok user soultgs has been using his fridge’s Family Hub and massive touchscreen to train his Mihono Bourbon in his kitchen. Though this particular Umamusume is best trained as a Front Runner who specializes in Speed, Wit, and Power, soultgs seems intent on making her a Late Surger whose defining stat is Guts (a stat that reduces stamina consumption, which many players view as the worst attribute in the game). While these decisions may have been done purposefully as subtle jokes, Mihono Bourbon did end up winning third place in a race.

As fun as it looks to play Umamusume: Pretty Derby on a fridge screen, soultgs doesn’t seem super comfortable when making his videos. He alternates between standing and sitting on a chair, never remaining still due to the strange positioning of the screen and the long periods of time he has to spend staring at it. Perhaps it is better to play the game on mobile devices or PC, and to leave the heavy legwork to the fictional horse girls.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available for iOS, Android, and PC (Steam).
