It also placed third in the “Drama Anime of the Year” category.

In honor of the show being crowned “Anime of the Year,” director Takehiro Miura had a few words to say

“I am deeply grateful to receive such an honorable award. Umamusume: Cinderella Gray began in the land of Kasamatsu, and through the story of a single Umamusume who continues to run beyond her limits, we aimed to create a story that transcends national borders and languages.

I am overjoyed that it has been received so warmly by all of you. I hope that Oguri Cap’s race can inspire someone to take that next step. We will continue to deliver works that move the heart. Thank you very much!”
