Tribe Nine to end services on November 27

Akatsuki Games has announced Tribe Nine's discontinuation less than three months after its initial launch.

Akatsuki Games announced on May 15 that they will be discontinuing their free-to-play action RPG Tribe Nine as of November 27, 2025. The announcement comes less than three months after the title’s initial release on Steam and mobile platforms.

With an original concept, OST and character designs by Too Kyo Games (home to Danganronpa developers Kazutaka Kodaka, Rui Komatsuzaki and Masafumi Takada), Tribe Nine released on February 19. The RPG came off to a somewhat rocky start due to complaints about its gacha mechanics, but it recovered in popularity significantly after a large-scale update that improved pull-rates and other parameters.

However, despite the turnaround, it seems Tribe Nine will be prematurely discontinued. The previously announced Chapter 4 of the story and new characters Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba will not be coming out. Akatsuki Games has not given a specific reason for the decision to end the game, but it’s possible that with the revised pull rates, Tribe Nine was having trouble generating revenue from microtransactions.

Tribe Nine is scheduled to be terminated on Novermber 27, 2025. Paid items and in-game currency are no longer purchasable as of May 15, but you can still use what you already own.
