Touhou Project creator ZUN and Undertale creator Toby Fox to collaborate on new music

Touhou series creator ZUN and Undertale creator Toby Fox have announced their second musical collaboration. The two critically acclaimed composers will make arrangements of each other’s tracks for the rhythm game Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost!

Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost! is an official derivative Touhou game that was initially released in February this year on Steam. On September 5, the bullet-hell rhythm game launched for the Nintendo Switch, accompanied by the announcement of Zun and Toby Fox’s new collaboration. The music will be distributed as free DLC for the game at a later date. It is not yet known which specific tracks the two creators will be arranging, but Toby Fox gave (an extremely brief) preview in his recent video message

As an aside, it seems that ZUN and Toby Fox recently sat down to play Touhou Juuouen together. The Undertale creator won, but noted that it was likely due to a stroke of luck. On the other hand, Zun says that he “lost for real” and that “Toby-san is seriously strong.”
