Tipsy girl action game Merry Bunny Garden will come with over 100 collectible pantiesĀ

Qureate is keeping up the extraordinary devotion to undies in Bunny Garden's upcoming spin-off Merry Bunny Garden.

Qureate recently announced that Merry Bunny Garden will be launching on October 9 for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming title is a spin-off to the hostess bar dating sim Bunny Garden (which topped Japanese sales charts last year) and it fully inherits the original’s comical NSFW flair.Ā

Merry Bunny Garden is a 3D drunken walking action game in which you escort bunny girls home after a night of too many drinks. The three heroines are Kana, Rin and Miuka from the original Bunny Garden cast. Completely sloshed, they won’t even be able to walk in a straight line, so you’ll have to make sure they don’t trip down stairs, get hit by a vehicle or run into other obstacles. Additional dangers include ripped clothes, getting stuck in trash cans and falling into manholes butt-first.

Qureate is showing an outrageous amount of dedication to undies in this game too. The original Bunny Garden created a lot of pre-launch virality in Japan with its oddly named ā€œPTA system.ā€Ā This doesn’t stand for parent-teacher association, butĀ ā€œpantsu takusan arigatoā€ or in English, ā€œthank you for the abundance of panties.ā€ This system lets the player peep at the bunny girls’ underwear when buying expensive in-game booze, and the designs change depending on the day.Ā

Merry Bunny Garden comes with its own PTA system, but it’s on a whole new level. This time, the abbreviation stands for ā€œpantsu takusan atsumeyoā€ or ā€œlet’s collect a bunch of panties.ā€ As the name implies, undies will be a collectible item found strewn across town, and there will be a total of 108 different designs to find. Qureate calls this their ā€œpanty Water Margin,ā€ referencing the 108 heroes featured in Ming dynasty literary classic the Water Margin. Needless to say, you’ll be able to play dress-up with all the undies you collect.

Merry Bunny Garden launches October 9 for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch. The developers warn of non-explicit sexual content, alcohol and revealing costumes.
