The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter to get a simultaneous worldwide release on Switch, PS5 and Steam in 2025

Nihon Falcom have just announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will be getting a simultaneous worldwide release in 2025 on PS5, Switch and Steam. They also released a new trailer for the remake.

The game is a full-fledged 3D remake of 2004’s Trails in the Sky FC, the first entry in the Trails series. Fans and newcomers alike will be able to join unforgettable characters including Estelle and Joshua Bright as they journey through the picturesque Liberl Kingdom, now brought to life in full 3D for the first time.

The remake promises to give players seamless transitions between the field and combat.  Attacking enemies in the field will trigger battles in which your characters will be able to use various attacks and magic spells called “Arts.” The combat and controls will be intuitive enough for even RPG beginners to pick up. For the more experienced, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will feature all kinds of quests and challenges for players to dig their teeth into during their epic journey.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter was initially announced in a Nintendo Direct broadcast back in August (under the name The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st), and thus assumed by many to be a Switch exclusive. Fans worldwide can now rest assured that the remake is not only getting localized releases but will also be playable on other platforms. It is also the first game in the series to get a simultaneous worldwide launch.
