Team Ninja to address Rise of the Ronin PC port issues in April 10 patch

Team Ninja announces new Rise of the Ronin patch in order to improve bugs and optimization issues found in the game's PC port.

Developer Team Ninja announced that a Rise of the Ronin patch scheduled for April 10 will fix or improve some of the issues found in the game’s poorly received PC port. This update follows two patches (released on March 14 and 25 respectively) that focus on optimization and bug fixes.

Set in the final years of the Edo period, Rise of the Ronin currently holds a “Mixed” rating on Steam. Many were quick to note that the game’s optimization was poor, which caused issues like low frame rates and object pop-ins to occur. Less fortunate players reported the loss of save data, requiring them to change their system settings to continue playing.

With three updates being released not one month into the Windows launch, hopefully Team Ninja manages to address Rise of the Ronin’s more serious problems. There is much to love about the game, such as giving players the ability to hang out with key historical figures like Commodore Matthew C. Perry and samurai Sakamoto Ryoma. There are also cats; lots and lots of cats.

Rise of the Ronin is available for the PC (Windows) and PlayStation 5.
