Bandai Namco Entertainment recently announced an event commemorating the 20th anniversary of Tales of Legendia. Scheduled to be held on July 27, 2025, the Tales of Legendia 20th Anniversary Party will feature a special stage performance by the series’ voice actors. Further details will be announced as the event date approaches.
Released in 2005 for the PS2, Tales of Legendia is the tenth mainline entry in the Tales series. It was notably developed by both the original Tales team as well as developers from Namco’s Tekken and Soulcalibur teams. It is one of the franchises’ more underrated titles and has not received any modern ports or remasters so far.
Given the circumstances, Tales fans were pleasantly surprised to see Tales of Legendia get a dedicated event after so many years. The news has prompted many Japanese fans to speculate, or at least, express wishes for a potential announcement of a remake or remaster of the game come July.

2025 is a big year for the Tales series. As the long-running RPG franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary, the developers are making an effort to bring past titles to modern platforms through the ongoing “Tales of series Remaster Project.” With the successful Tales of Graces f Remastered behind them, the devs have promised to give other games in the series similar treatment “at a consistent pace.” The exact titles to be remastered are unknown, but we do know that they will not be selected based on chronological order.
The Tales of Legendia 20th Anniversary Party is scheduled to take place on July 27, 2025 in Chiba, Japan.
