Last December, Gremory Games announced Taimanin Squad, an upcoming free-to-play, turn-based RPG set in Lilith’s Taimanin universe. It’s only been a bit more than a month since then, but the title already amassed over 200,000 pre-registrations, proving fans’ long-standing love for the franchise and achieving yet another in-game reward milestone.
Taimanin Squad’s ongoing open beta, which was released on January 15 exclusively via the Galaxy Store, seems to be a key factor in the increase in pre-registrations. Though still in pre-release, the devs are constantly implementing bug fixes and balance changes to smooth things before the official launch, scheduled for early 2026.
Set in the artificial island of Tokyo Kingdom City, Taimanin Squad has you forming squads of up to four members to combat hordes of enemies. Squads can be composed of superhuman female ninjas called Taimanin and United Federation of American-Pacific States (UFS) employees, each of whom has their own special abilities. Over 150 characters are promised at launch, including iconic Taimanins like Onisaki Kirara and Mizuki Shiranui.

Featuring relationship scenarios that can lead to unique team-based skills when two specific characters are placed in the same squad, the game emphasizes building connections with your squad just as much as it does combat. There’s no shortage of fan service either, as a 3D model viewer allows you to examine each character in full detail.
Taimanin Squad is set to release in early 2026 for Android and iOS devices, as well as Windows (Steam).
