Suika Game’s official Android version releases mid-April
Alladin X announced on April 3 that the Android version of Suika Game will be released on Google’s app store mid-April. The game will be compatible with Android 5.1 and up. Pre-registration has started as of today.
The viral Japanese fruit-stacking puzzle game initially appeared as a built-in app for Aladdin X’s integrated projector and was subsequently released for the Nintendo Switch in December 2021. This version of Suika Game suddenly exploded in popularity last year, which prompted the developers to come out with an iOS version in January 2024. So far, the Nintendo Switch version of Suika Game has been downloaded 7 million times, while the iOS version counts 1.4 million downloads. The game’s popularity has also spawned a plethora of copy-cat games on mobile platforms, some of which unfortunately steal assets/infringe on the original. But now, Android users will be able to play the real thing on their devices.
The Android version of Suika Game seems to be mostly of the same specifications as the iOS version – it will be playable in both portrait and landscape mode, and the button layout can be toggled between a one-handed and two-handed mode.
Suika Game is available for the Nintendo Switch and iOS. An Android version is planned for mid-April, and pre-registration is open on Google Play.
