Street Fighter 6’s latest fighting pass trailer hints at possible returning characters and summer costumes

Street Fighter 6's newest fighting pass trailer showcasing sports-themed outfits is prompting fans to theorize about possible future content.

While the hype for Street Fighter 6’s latest fighting pass is about as high as the previous ones (that being very little), fans seem to be far more excited about its trailer. The key illustration featured in the thumbnail and at the start of the video shows several legacy and existing roster characters decked out in sports-themed outfits, which could be hinting at future content.

Starting with the legacy characters, you have Yoko Harmageddon in the bottom left holding her iconic shinai (bamboo training sword) while overseeing her trainee, Rainbow Mika. R. Mika stands beside her tag-team partner, Yamato Nadeshiko, with the former in a swimsuit and the latter in what appears to be pole vault attire. Ibuki can be seen running a lap in the top left while donning track and field sportswear, while Karin Kanzuki lets loose a serve while wearing white tennis clothes.

The remaining characters in the image are already in Street Fighter 6, though Rashid and JP are wearing outfits that have yet to be seen in-game. While Rashid kicks things up a notch with his football getup, JP takes a load off by playing some golf while in a smart casual attire.

Though Capcom previously mentioned that Outfit 4’s lineup will primarily focus on swimwear, perhaps the devs decided to include some summer sports-themed outfits to mix in with the existing swimsuits. Then again, given that Street Fighter 6 saw a massive player count spike following the first wave of swimsuit skins, there’s a probability that they could be making swimsuits for the remaining  characters.

Alex and Ingrid have already been confirmed as the next fighters coming to Street Fighter 6, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating who the Year 4 Character Pass fighters are going to be. Considering past fighter releases have had roughly 2-5 months between them, it may take some time before Capcom reveals who else will be joining the fight.

Street Fighter 6 is available on Windows (Steam), Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
