Stellar Blade’s sexy summer update increases the game’s playerbase by 40%
Stellar Blade’s recent summer update has resulted in increased player numbers for the game. According to the dedicated PlayStation website TrueTrophies (in association with GameInsights), Stellar Blade saw a 40.14% increase in players over the past week. While the summer update doesn’t include the much-requested photo mode, the content was enough to get players old and new to visit the game’s version of a post-apocalyptic Earth.
The biggest draw of Stellar Blade’s summer update is without a doubt the two new summer-themed outfits for Eve. Both the Wave Oblique Monokini and the Wave Diver Bikini can be purchased with a 1,500 Fishing Score from Clyde’s Shop in the Great Desert. A new accessory can also be purchased from the same shop. The outfits aren’t time-limited, so players who miss out on the summer event can buy them using fishing points at a later date.
What is time-limited, however, is the small summer-themed area that has been added to the Great Desert Oasis. This area has a bunch of sunbeds where Eve can take a break, as well as numerous beach umbrellas, inflatable toys, hammocks, and a picnic bench. It is here where players can also listen to a limited-time piece of background music.
Various bug fixes were also implemented into the game, but these new summer-themed items and area are most likely what contributed to Stellar Blade’s recent player increase. Those who picked up the game or already own it should drop by the Great Desert Oasis and enjoy the limited-time festivities before they disappear.
Stellar Blade is available on PS5.
The people know what they want. In an economy like this it might be more fulfilling for some people to have that summer beach experience with Eve instead of wasting gas and going to an actual beach
