With Stellar Blade’s PC release just around the corner, Shift Up’s hack-and-slash title has topped Steam’s Top Sellers chart in Japan, beating Elden Ring Nightreign, Apex Legends, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and Street Fighter 6. In addition to being well received on the PlayStation 5, the game’s free PC demo seems to have incentivized players to take the plunge into Eve’s adventures.
While there are currently no metrics for the unreleased full game, the Stellar Blade PC demo has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 4,580 total reviews at the time of writing. In addition to platform-centric features such as AI upscaling, frame generation, an unlocked frame rate, ultrawide support, and higher resolution textures, the PC version of Stellar Blade will include all of the PlayStation 5 post-launch content as well as new content featuring a new boss battle against Mann, the leader of the Sentinels and new costumes. The aforementioned content will be added for free to Stellar Blade’s PlayStation 5 version in a future update, though the new Goddess of Victory: Nikke-themed gameplay, story, and costumes will require purchasing to unlock them.
Director Hyung-tae Kim has expressed his gratitude to Stellar Blade players in Japan and, like them, is looking forward to the game’s release on a new platform.
Stellar Blade is available for PlayStation 5. A PC version is set to release on June 12.
