Even with Stellar Blade’s PC port in full production, game director and Shift Up CEO Hyung-Tae Kim still has time to play other video games. After recently completing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kim took to social media to call it his game of the year.
Kims’s playthrough of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 wasn’t just a casual run, either. His PlayStation profile shows that he clocked in 96 hours and obtained all of the trophies, which means he collected all of the expedition journals, music records, and defeated the hardest bosses. While Clair Obscur features turn-based combat, it includes reactionary elements similar to those found in Stellar Blade.
On a related note, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also features light jiggle physics for both the male and female anatomy. Considering Shift Up’s own Goddess of Victory: Nikke takes jiggle physics to the extreme, Kim can appreciate Sandfall Interactive’s attention to detail.
