Starnaut to officially launch on November 9 with a new story that ties into El Shaddai

Crim has announced that STARNAUT will officially launch on November 9. The game has been in Early Access on Steam since February this year.

Developed by El Shaddai creator Sawaki Takeyasu, Starnaut is a 3D roguelike action game set in a Multiverse where the Earth has fallen, and the human race has gone extinct. You take the role of the last surviving astronaut, exploring the universe and fighting off endless waves of enemies.

When the full game releases on November 9 (which is coincidentally known as “Enoch’s Day” among Japanese El Shaddai fans), it will be updated with a new story that ties into the lore of El Shaddai.

Since Starnaut’s Early Access release earlier this year, the game has received about 30 updates, adding new stages, weapons, gear and other content. The protagonist received fully voiced lines in Japanese, and the game even held an El Shaddai collaboration. At the time of writing, Starnaut only has around 30 or so user reviews, but 96% percent of them are Positive.

Aside from adding an entirely new story that links Starnaut to the mythological lore of El Shaddai, the official release update will include the COPIASU Prologue, which is currently available as DLC. In addition, there will be more than 30 stages, 48 weapons, 20 helmets, and 400 enemies, as well as more than 100 types of (in-game) Lost Data for the player to recover.

Starnaut is currently available in Early Access for the PC (Steam). The full release is scheduled for November 9.
