We all have our favorite Final Fantasy Chocobos, but the official Square Enix X account wants to hear it directly from us. Barring any personal favorites, Square Enix just brought one of the biggest fan arguments to light:
As expected, the comments section is flooded with different responses. While some prefer the more realistic-looking Chocobos of recent Final Fantasy entries like Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, there was no love lost for the pixelated Chocobos of retro games like Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy IX. Surprisingly, several fans admitted that their favorite Chocobos do not come from a mainline Final Fantasy tiles, but rather from spin-off and subseries games like Chocobo GP and Final Fantasy Tactics.
From the Chocobos’ cuteness to a title’s rendition of the Chocobo theme, everyone has their reasons for why they prefer a certain game’s Chocobos over others. Thankfully, no one has yet posted that their reason for picking a Chocobo is because “it tastes better,” otherwise Square Enix will have a real problem on its hands.
