If playing through Silent Hill f is too scary for you, then perhaps listening to the game’s official lo-fi beats video might be more your speed. Created by Lofi Studio, the same people who brought you Lofi Girl and its spin-offs, SILENT HILL f x Lofi Girl | Lofi Beats to Get Lost in the Fog trades a relaxing night of studying with Jade into a mesmerizing (some would say haunting) night in 1960s Japan with Hinako.
Riffing off one of Silent Hill f’s core features, the “lo-fi” video sees Hinako writing her thoughts in her journal. Like any adolescent girl, she spends most of her time in her room, which is one of the key locations in Silent Hill f. Lofi Studio’s rendition of Hinako’s room holds many Easter eggs, such as her track-and-field trophy and poster, as well as a picture of her family, friends, and herself sitting on a shelf.
The biggest tell that the video is a Silent Hill f collaboration is the ominous red light that signals a shift between the real world and the Dark Shrine. A mysterious figure can also be seen in the reflection of Hinako’s mirror.
Silent Hill f isn’t the only video game with a Lofi Studio collaboration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Zenless Zone Zero, and even Alien: Isolation are just a few titles that have cozy playlists for fans to listen to when they need to get some work done.
