Shiren the Wanderer 6 to get affordable new DLC with extra playable characters and dungeons

Spike Chunsoft revealed details about new content for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island (Shiren the Wanderer 6) on August 27. The Plus Pack DLC will be released in two parts in September and October in Japan, with the international release date currently TBA.

In part one of the Plus Pack, Players will finally be able to use Shiren’s fast-moving and cute ferret-like sidekick Koppa as a playable character. In addition, the game will also get five new dungeons. Part two will make fan-favorite Asuka a playable character, and will come with five more dungeons.

In Japan, both parts of this DLC will be sold together as a set costing 1800 yen, with part one being available from September 5 and part two coming on October 31, 2024. The new content was previously teased by the devs back on August 15 across both Spike Chunsoft’s Japanese and English X accounts for the game, so it is likely that players in other regions will also be able to purchase this new content soon.

Aside from the paid Plus Pack DLC, Shiren the Wanderer 6 will also be getting a free update in September, with details still to come.

Shiren the Wanderer 6 has an enthusiastic playerbase of people who have put many hours into the game and still want more. Lots of Shiren players took to X to express their joy at the Plus Pack DLC, with many happy about Asuka becoming a playable character and the DLC’s price point.
