Shift Up abruptly announces suspicious Goddess of Victory: NIKKE sequel “NIKKE2″

The official Goddess of Victory: NIKKE account announced the launch of a mysterious “NIKKE2" on March 31.

The official Goddess of Victory: NIKKE account on X has announced the launch of a mysterious “NIKKE2.” With new, dramatic concept art featuring the back view of a seemingly unfamiliar character, the announcement calls on NIKKE players to use the hashtag #NewNIKKE to discuss what they imagine the world of NIKKE2 will be like.

With the announcement coming out of nowhere on March 31, it managed to ensnare quite a few innocent souls into believing Shift Up’s live-service RPG might be ending services in favor of a full-blown sequel game, but players were quick to catch on to the completely unsuspicious “April 1” launch date. Since the NIKKE development team is no stranger to elaborate April Fool’s Day content, it’s highly likely they’ve decided to get an early start this year.

But while NIKKE2 might not be an actual game coming out (or is it?), there’s no doubt that Shift Up has prepared some surprises for April 1 centered around the concept. The Liar’s Day and Fool Burst Day events in 2024 and 2025 respectively included humorous game content, story events and character takeovers among other novelties, so we can probably expect even more shenanigans this year.
