SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim gets delayed to 2025
SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim, a game in which you play an amnesiac who has been shrunken and abducted by a girl called Saeko, has had its release date pushed back from 2024 to the first half of 2025. To compensate for the delay, development studio SAFE HAVN STUDIO has released the trial version soundtrack for free on YouTube.

According to the delay announcement on the game’s Steam page, the release of the free demo during this year’s June Steam Fest prompted “overwhelmingly positive reception and participation”, motivating the developers to improve the quality of the game. Development for SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim is going smoothly, with a satisfying ending for both Saeko and her shrunken captives already written. SAFE HAVN STUDIO will make a follow-up announcement on Steam and its social media accounts once a concrete release date has been finalized.
SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim follows the story of Rin, a person who has been shrunken down to a few inches in height and has no recollection of past events. As Saeko’s newest addition to her desk drawer, you must interact with the other shrunken people and Saeko herself to survive and possibly find a way back to normalcy.
During the day, you act as a sort of “supervisor” for the people in the drawer. These tiny humans have Health and Appeal stats which determine their condition and overall fate. Performing certain actions like giving them food or reacting positively will keep them healthy and happy, while denying them basic needs and responding negatively will make them sad.
When night comes, you hop out of the drawer and become Saeko’s confidant. By answering her queries with “yes” or “no,” you will influence Saeko’s disposition and learn more about her. Choose the wrong answer or go against Saeko too many times though and you might end up becoming a thumb-sized blood spatter. Saeko has some weird hobbies aside from being able to shrink people, and the game can get pretty dark sometimes.
With the interactions with shrunken people feeling not unlike a point-and-click adventure game and the Saeko conversations taking inspiration from visual novels, SAEKO: Giantess Dating Sim is shaping up to be one of 2025’s more interesting games. If you like strange narratives and giant ladies, then keep an eye on this one.
