Palworld to get a mobile game by PUBG publisher KRAFTON

South Korean publisher Krafton has signed a global license agreement with Pocketpair for the development of a mobile version of Palworld

According to the announcement, Krafton intends to expand the Palworld IP to mobile platforms by adapting the original game’s attractive features to suit the mobile game environment – meaning it will likely not be an exact port. The title will be developed by the publisher’s PUBG Studios.

On a related note, Krafton recently made headlines by acquiring Tango Gameworks, which was set to be shut down by Microsoft. At the time, Krafton called this move “their first major investment in the Japanese game market and an important part of their global strategy.” With the new agreement with Pocketpair, they seem to be taking yet another step towards working with game developers from Japan.
