Palworld developer Pocketpair gives employees special holiday that just so happens to coincide with Monster Hunter Wilds’ release

Palworld developer Pocketpair has announced that tomorrow, February 28, will be a special, non-working day at its offices.

Pocketpair has announced that tomorrow, February 28, will be a special, non-working day at its offices.

According to the announcement, the company has been receiving a series of “mysterious” notices from its employees, who claim that they will “probably be feeling unwell tomorrow” and thus unable to clock in.

In response, Palworld’s developer has decided to make February 28 a holiday for the majority of its employees. Pocketpair also emphasizes that work on Palworld and Craftopia will not be affected by this and that update rollout will remain on schedule.

With Palworld’s major Feybreak update behind them and an ambitious roadmap planned for the rest of 2025, it’s safe to say Pocketpair’s holiday is well deserved. Although, in this case, it seems they’re more likely to go hunting than get some rest.

Interestingly, Pocketpair did something similar back in 2022, when it gave employees a day off to play FromSoftware’s Elden Ring
