Nitroplus sees 102% yearly profit growth following release of Armored Core-inspired mech action game Dolls Nest

Saya no Uta and Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa developer Nitroplus has had a great year - with net profit margins rising by 102.5%

Saya no Uta and Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa developer Nitroplus recently published its financial report for the fiscal year ended August 2025 (as reported by GameBiz). In the past year, the company saw significant growth, with net profit rising by 102.5% year-on-year (totaling approx. $10.11 million USD, the developer’s highest figure in the past seven years).

Aside from its long-running ongoing titles like Touken Ranbu, during the past fiscal period Nitroplus released Rusty Rabbit, an action platformer co-developed with NetEase, and Dolls Nest – an original 3D mecha action game inspired by the Armored Core series. While the former launched to mixed reviews, Dolls Nest has been quite successful since its April release. Following a recent “High Difficulty Mode” update, the game achieved an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam (based on reviews from the past 30 days). Although the company is renowned for its visual novels, the developers have expressed that their policy is simply to create good games the world hasn’t seen yet, which means they won’t be confining themselves to any particular genre going forward, whether it be action or novel games.

Of note, Nitroplus became a consolidated subsidiary of Japanese tech giant CyberAgent (who also owns Cygames) in June last year. According to CEO Takaki Kosaka aka Digitarou, the move will help Nitroplus improve the quality of its games and revive previously abandoned projects while retaining its creative freedom.
