Nintendo says there are currently no data leaks from recent cyberattack on its serversĀ

Amidst rumors of a cyberattack, Nintendo has yet to find any evidence pointing to internal data being compromised or leaked.

Nintendo told The Sankei Shimbun on October 15 that it has found no evidence of internal data leaks resulting from recent cyberattacks on its servers. The statement comes amidst rumors of the hacker group Crimson Collective targeting Nintendo.

According to Nintendo, nothing currently points to personal information being stolen or development or business data being leaked. When asked about the cyberattack, the company explained that while some external servers used to host parts of its official website were defaced, there was ā€œno evidence of damage to customers or an intrusion into the company.ā€

Nintendo’s comment about development and business information being safe likely has to do with Crimson Collective’s claims that they were able to acquire folders marked with Nintendo-related topics. The claims were made on October 11, but there is currently no concrete proof as to their authenticity.
