While the current situation concerning Needy Streamer Overload writer Nyalra and publisher WSS Playground is still to reach a proper conclusion, it seems like the developer has already moved on to making his next game. Nyalra’s new company, HazeDenki, recently revealed its first game to great response, reaching over 10,000 Steam Wishlists on the first day (Source: Game*Spark).
Sister Other Paranoia is an upcoming visual novel that stars an unnamed light novel writer who is overly sensitive to other people’s emotions. Due to his unique condition, he develops the ability to read minds. After winning an upcoming writer’s award, the jealous thoughts of those around him drive him deeper into seclusion and distrust.

His only remaining source of comfort lies in his white-haired younger sister. While the protagonist spends his days having to bear the burden of the hurtful thoughts of others, his sister is there to greet him at the end of each day. Together, their sibling relationship starts to form into an unhealthy codependency where one cannot live without the other.

Sister Other Paranoia delves into some dark subject matter. Aside from being able to read negative thoughts, the protagonist can also use his ability to drive people to suicide. While there is no confirmation of multiple endings, it’s hard to see the game finishing on a happy note.
According to Nyalra, Sister Other Paranoia is the first of two titles that are currently being developed by HazeDenki, with him serving as writer and game director. Several Needy Streamer Overload alumni are also working on the project, with Ohisashiburi providing the art, Aiobahn +81 as the music composer, Maruino as a UI designer, and HAYAO as a programmer.
Sister Other Paranoia is set to release in August for Windows and macOS (Steam).
